These polka dot trends inspired us to create a fun mani for you girls today!
Simple, cute and fun, this basic nail tutorial is perfect for an everyday innocent look.
Also, this mani is a perfect match for any outfit any day. ;)
What you need:
#1: The Face Shop Baby Blue nail polish
#2 The Face Shop base coat (optional)
#3 Revlon nail color in Tropical Temptation
#4 Elianto nail color in Navy Blue
#5 Elianto nail color in Black
#6 toothpick (optional)
#7 top coat
FYI : We are huggeee fans of Elianto nail polishes. From as low as RM5 a bottle, this baby gives a perfect finish and lasts for days, even weeks! Also, this is easy to apply and your purse would love you for it as its so affordable! ;)
Step 1: Remove all nail colour
Yes, we mean clean, naked nails.
Using an acetone-free nail remover, remove all nail polish there is in your hands.
Make sure it is as clean as it can be!
Step 2: Apply base coat
Note : This is optional, but recommended as the base coat would provide a proper base when the nail polish is applied. Then, your nails would look smooth and shiny. In other words, it helps your nail color give out a smooth finish to your nails.
Step 3: Apply color
Instead of the boring one color-all-nails, we decided to go two tone.
We picked coral pink and baby blue ; perfect match!
Let dry for 30 minutes before applying polka dots.
Step 4: Start polka dot-ing!
We used our Elianto's navy and black nail polishes to create dots on each of our nails.
Let dry for 30 minutes before applying top coat.
If you have shaky hands, we recommend using a toothpick dipped in any of the black/blue nail color to do the dotting.
Finished result: Taa-daa!
The finished product!
The polka dots don't have to be perfect dots, but practice makes perfect!
Have a fun day babes!
