Little Mugs of Happy

Sometimes, all of us tend to feel stressed out and worried about the things occurring around us in life.
Well, just so you know, you are not the only one.
Whether its an assignment, heated arguments with a friend or a lover, or whatever that brings you worried or down, you got to learn how to chill and let go.
These past few days, the climate in Malaysia has been mean towards us. The climate, being too hot, can possibly cause us to feel more stressed.
Under the terribly hot sun, its time to make some cool drinks to chill down.
So yes, its time to release stress, and let go, under the hot sun, or in an air-conditioned room, with these cool yummy drink recipes (:

Iced Honey Lemonade
Our version of this honey lemon drink is a must-try to soothe down the heat.

What you need :
2 tablespoons honey
3 slices of lemon
1 half of a lemon
warm water
5 mint leaves
ice
a pinch of salt

First, crush the ice along with the mint leaves. We like to use the blender for this process. Ensure the ice and mint leaves are blended together evenly.
Squeeze the half of the lemon to let its juices out. Mix this with a tiny pinch of salt.
Add the 2 tablespoons of honey into the lemon juice mixture. Add some warm water and stir.
Finally, add the crushed ice and mint mixture into the honey lemon drink along with the lemon slices.
Enjoy.

Midi Love!

Midi dresses/skirts have been a must-have for this upcoming Spring/Summer 2013/2014.
We absolutely have a huge crush on this trend.
This trend is two words. Classy and fabulous.
Midi length dresses or skirts are not only proper and elegant, they are feminine as well.

Our favourite celebrities are spotting them midi outfits!

Nail Tutorial : Ombre Nails ♥

Hello (:
So today, we will be doing a small simple tutorial on ombre nails.
YES, OMBRE!

Ombre is the current trend this season.

It's basically like dip dye.
All you need for pretty ombre nails are a coloured nail polish (we used lilac) and a white base polish.
(oh and not to forget top coat!)
You'll also need a fan brush. This can be bought from nail salon supply shops/hair supplies.

First, you'll need clean, nail polish free nails. Basically, they have to be naked.
Make sure you remove them with as much remover as you can.

Next, using the white base colour, paint a layer over each and every nail.
You'll have them looking like this (:

Next, using the fan brush, brush some lilac polish on the brush.
Immediately, spread it at the bottom of each nail tip.

Do it for each and every nail.
Remember to stroke the brush downwards, so it looks like a blended effect.
You'll end up with nails looking like this (;

Taa-daa!
Pretty no?
Don't forget to finish it with a top coat for glossy nails!

Don't forget to clean them fan brush!
Just pour some nail polish remover/acetone in a glass bowl and wash!

(sorry, couldn't take proper step-by-step pictures as all painting and photography was done solely by me. YES, one woman show -.-)

Enjoy!
